William Hosier (1720-1779) & Maria Stanworth (1733-1786)

William Hosier, the son of Giles Hosier, an innkeeper, and Elizabeth Cobb, was baptised on 22 January 1720 at Poole, Dorset.

Maria Stanworth, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Stanworth, was baptised on 25 February 1733 at Poole, Dorset.

William Hosier married Maria Stanworth on 12 April 1753 at Poole.

William and Elizabeth had ten children from William baptised in 1753 to Maria baptised in 1775. Two of their children died in childhood – Maria (1755-56) and Mary (1759-1766).

William Hosier was buried at St James’s church, Poole on 10 January 1780.

Maria Hosier was buried at St James’s church, Poole on 14 January 1786.
